AAIP Eligibility Simulator — Alberta Advantage Immigration Program

Alberta’s Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has eight active streams — four for workers, four for entrepreneurs — each with a different mix of work-permit rules, NOC/TEER eligibility, work-experience windows, language thresholds, and Alberta connection tests. Use this interactive simulator to see which streams you may qualify for before booking a consultation with our RCIC.

Verified against the official alberta.ca AAIP pages as of August 2026. Every stream result links directly to the government eligibility page and the Alberta worker-stream application process.

Alberta Advantage Immigration Program

Eligibility Simulator

Answer seven considered questions and we’ll match your profile to Alberta’s eight active AAIP streams. Verified against alberta.ca — August 2026.

Step 1 of 7

Beginning

What is your primary immigration path?

This determines whether we screen you against worker streams, the Express Entry stream, or the entrepreneur streams.

Location & status

Where are you living right now?

Several AAIP streams require you to be in Alberta on a valid work permit at both submission and assessment.

Work permit

Which permit do you hold?

AAIP streams accept specific permit types only. Maintained and restoration status do not qualify for AOS or the Tourism & Hospitality Stream.

Occupation

What best describes your work?

Your NOC is determined by actual duties, not job title. If uncertain of the TEER, choose the closest match.

Express Entry

Are you in the Express Entry pool?

The Alberta Express Entry Stream requires an active IRCC profile with a CRS of at least 300.

Education & language

Credentials and language

Select every item that applies. Most AAIP worker streams require Canadian high-school equivalency plus CLB/NCLC 4–7 depending on stream and TEER.

Experience & status

Work experience and hard stops

Select everything that applies. Any hard stop excludes you from all AAIP streams.

How this AAIP simulator works

The simulator asks seven questions covering your immigration path, current location and status, work permit type, occupation and NOC, Express Entry position, education and language, and work experience. It scores your answers against every AAIP stream’s published eligibility rules and ranks matches as Strong (60+ score), Partial (30–59), or Unlikely (below 30).

Streams this tool covers

  • Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS) — temporary foreign workers in Alberta with an eligible full-time offer
