What to do if you were invited on September 14
Every candidate invited in round #442 has 60 calendar days from the invitation date to submit a complete electronic application for permanent residence (e-APR). - Confirm the class on your ITA. Even in a PNP-only round, IRCC issues the invitation under a specific class (typically the provincial nominee class). You must apply under that class — you cannot switch to CEC or FSW at application stage.
- Re-check every field in your profile. Anything material that has changed since the profile was submitted — job, marital status, dependants, address, custody, criminality, medicals — must be reflected accurately in the e-APR. Section 11.2 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and IRCC’s A11.2 guidance require that a candidate continue to meet the criteria at time of ITA and time of PR-visa issuance.
- Order police certificates now. The most common reason PNP applicants blow their 60-day clock is waiting on a police certificate from a country of prior residence. Start every certificate on Day 1.
- Upload IMM 5669, IMM 0008, and IMM 5406 only after every declaration is cross-checked against your profile, your PNP application, and your foreign records. Inconsistencies drive misrepresentation findings.
- Keep your nomination certificate valid through submission. Some provincial nominations have their own expiry dates. If yours will expire before you submit the e-APR, contact the nominating province in writing before Day 30.
- Prepare biometrics and medicals in parallel. Do not wait for a biometric-instruction letter before booking your medical exam with a panel physician; upfront medicals are widely accepted for PNP e-APRs.
What to do if you did not receive an invitation
A CRS score of 734 with a nomination bonus applied excludes only a very small set of nominated candidates. If you hold an enhanced nomination and were not invited today, the most common explanations are:
- Your profile is not currently active in the Express Entry pool. Nominations attach to the profile that is in the pool at the moment of the draw.
- Your profile has expired or was withdrawn. Expressions of interest in the Express Entry pool are valid for 12 months; without a fresh profile you will not be considered.
- Your nomination is a base nomination (non-Express Entry), not an enhanced nomination. Only enhanced nominations attract the 600-point CRS bonus and are eligible for Express Entry PNP draws (IRCC — Processing PNP applications: Determining membership in the class).
If you do not hold a provincial nomination at all, the September 14 round has no bearing on your file. The pathway that matters for you is the 2026 category-based structure — Canadian Experience Class draws, French-language draws, and category draws in health care, trades, STEM, transport, and the new researcher and senior-manager categories.
