Express Entry PNP Draw: 752 Invited With CRS 772

Canada has issued 752 invitations to apply (ITAs) in a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-specific Express Entry round, according to reporting dated October 13, 2026. The reported minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 772. Unlike a Canadian Experience Class or category-based draw, this round targeted eligible candidates with an Express Entry-linked provincial nomination.

Published October 13, 2026. Draw figures are attributed to contemporary reporting; readers should confirm the official results against IRCC’s ministerial instructions once available.

Express Entry PNP draw: results at a glance

Draw type Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Invitations issued 752
Minimum CRS score 772
Reported tie-break July 15, 2026 at 13:57:33 UTC
Report date October 13, 2026

The tie-breaking rule applies where more than one candidate has the lowest invited CRS score. In that situation, IRCC considers the time the Express Entry profile was submitted. Review IRCC’s rounds of invitations for the official details and ministerial instructions.

Why is the CRS cut-off 772?

An eligible Express Entry-linked provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points after the nomination is accepted in the federal profile. This explains why a PNP-specific draw can have a much higher cut-off than other draw types. For example, a candidate with 172 CRS points before the nomination could reach 772 after receiving those 600 additional points. This is an illustration, not a separate minimum eligibility threshold.

A PNP-only cut-off must not be treated as the score needed for a Canadian Experience Class or occupation-category invitation: each round targets a different candidate population. Provincial stream eligibility and eligibility for an Express Entry federal economic program are both important.

Who could receive an invitation?

This selection round concerned candidates in the Express Entry pool with an eligible provincial nomination. Simply having an Express Entry profile does not qualify someone for a PNP-only round. Canada also offers non-Express Entry provincial nomination pathways, which lead to a separate federal permanent residence application process rather than an ITA in this draw.

Applicants should assess the province’s actual stream requirements, including any employer, job-offer, occupation, language or settlement requirements, instead of assuming that every nomination program uses the same criteria. Learn about Express Entry options and IRCC’s PNP pathways.

What should you do after receiving an ITA?

Invited Express Entry applicants generally have 60 calendar days to submit a complete permanent residence application. An ITA is not a PR approval. Candidates should promptly review the invitation deadline shown in their IRCC account, nomination conditions, language tests, educational credentials, work history, civil-status records, police certificates and any personalized document requests. Resolve inconsistencies before submitting, and do not assume that an invitation extends temporary resident status.

  • Confirm the deadline and the exact nomination details in your account.
  • Cross-check employment duties, dates, education, language test validity and family information against your Express Entry profile.
  • Prepare the personalized checklist and explanations for any genuine discrepancies.
  • Separately review current work-permit validity and lawful status in Canada.

IRCC’s Express Entry application instructions explain the application process and deadlines.

Does an ITA allow you to continue working in Canada?

No. An ITA does not, by itself, authorize work or create maintained status. A bridging open work permit (BOWP) has additional eligibility requirements that normally involve a submitted permanent residence application and relevant processing milestones. Express Entry PNP applicants must also satisfy the applicable nomination-related conditions, including any employment restrictions. Work authorization, maintained status and restoration are separate legal considerations. Check IRCC’s BOWP guidance before relying on this route.

What if you were not invited?

Not receiving an invitation in this PNP-specific round does not determine your prospects in other Express Entry selection rounds. Depending on your profile, it may be appropriate to evaluate Canadian Experience Class eligibility, current category-based selection rules, or a provincial stream where you genuinely intend to settle. A provincial nomination is valuable only when you actually meet the program’s criteria; do not plan around the 600-point bonus in isolation.

Frequently asked questions

Can someone with CRS 172 receive an invitation in a PNP round?

A qualifying Express Entry-linked nomination can add 600 CRS points, bringing a score of 172 to 772. The applicant must still meet eligibility requirements and any relevant tie-breaking rule.

Do all provincial nominations add 600 CRS points?

No. The 600-point bonus belongs to the Express Entry-linked nomination process; non-Express Entry PNP applications follow a different federal pathway.

Does receiving an ITA guarantee permanent residence?

No. IRCC assesses the completed application and supporting evidence before making a decision.

How long do invited candidates have to apply?

Typically 60 calendar days. Always check the deadline stated in the candidate’s IRCC account.
